 Australia gained prominence in the International Education Market more so after the US and UK terrorist attacks. Australia has some world class universities that provide excellent education . The money made by these universites are the 3rd largest contributor to the Australian economy. Foreign students comprises of students from India , China , Malaysia , Middle east , African etc . Among these Indians are the second largest community only after Chinese. Over 95k indian students study in Australia most of them are from middle class backgrounds of Bihar , Punjab , Chandigarh etc who plan to settle down in Australia as immigration is easy compared to US and UK. Apparently Australian universities provide enhanced security and safety to the foreign students compared to US and UK. So why have been over 400 odd indians been attacked in australia in 2009 alone. Many coaching centres for the entrance tests to engineering/medical colleges help their students get admissions in the formal school alongside , in which attendance is a mere formality.
