Extinct Pen And Paper???

          So when was the last time did u use a pen and paper , apart from those exams and office work we tend to do. When was the last time we used pen and paper to write down something nice something for our beloved something out of personal interest. Seems tough to recollect right?? Use of pen and paper is not a common sight nowadays. I still remember those days when as a small kid i used to buy new ink pens which had some chinese alphabets on them every year. Then those ink pens were replaced by cheaper and fancier ball point pens. But nowadays do we really care about the pen we use?? The pen has so minimal use nowadays only limited to fill those forms of banks and various institutions and stuff like that and ofcourse signature . Pen and paper has its major purpose only in the first 15 to 16 yrs of our life when we are forced to take down notes in schools. Even those projects during our summer required pen and paper . But the scene seems to be changing , students nowadays are into computers. The institutions for the sake of exposture to computer ask students to do their projects based on computer. So the students now are not forced to think and do stuff creatively. Students prefer googling it and then copy it. So have we changed into the ccp ( cut , copy , paste ) generation?? And So does letter writing vanished right. Where are those postcard s with Gandhi s stamp on it. When was the last time we wrote a letter. These letter are replaced by mobiles and emails. So the art of letter writing has just disappeared. Might be in future children probably ll learn email writing instead of letter writing and instead of calligraphy tests they might have sms tests. :-D:-P ( well an distant thought almost impossible ) . So is it right to say that " All stuff we do using pen is so extinct right?? " Possibly and most probably the answer is yes. So has today's generation i mean our generation forgotten to pick up a pen and write?? So why have we changed , why has the pen been forgotten .Well there are many reasons. First its easy to use an electronic gadget to write and it can be saved . Secondly , now every editors come with spelling and grammer checks so its again easy for guys like me who dont know english grammer very well . Third , there s no delete option while using a paper and pen rite?? So on the larger picture we are saving trees and thus minimising deforestation:-D:-P. So now what is that that goes along with use of paper and pen . Well it certainly forces us to think , ponder . Its tests one s knowledge of languages the command over it. Even if computers and cellphones seem to have replaced pen and paper but the latter still and will remain the most easily available source for writing and is extremly cheap and portable. For computer and cellphones its easy hassle free to use them. But dependence on technology questions our knowledge of language for sure. So only still many writers and novelist use pen and paper. So the proverb still stands " Pen is 'still' mightier than sword "... - Axewood
